Two things. Firstly, the overall conductor cross-section is large, so the device it is connected to can draw high peak currents without any significant restriction. Secondly, the clever conductor design. Each conductor consists of a single insulated solid iron strand, surrounded by six individually insulated solid copper strands. The iron strand acts like the core in an inductor, increasing the inductance of the whole conductor and enabling it to act as a high frequency noise filter.
