Welcome to the first German Physiks newsletter

Firstly, thank you for signing up for our newsletter. We will be aiming to get an issue out every 4 to 6 weeks. As we have quite a lot of news, this issue will be larger than those that follow.

The last few months have been very busy for us. As you are already aware, we have a new web site.  This has a lot of new content, as well as some very attractive graphics, so if you have not already done so, please do have a good look around it. We also have a brand new range of ultra high-end electronics and we have two new awards.

Introducing our Emperor High-end Electronics

Our biggest news is the launch of our flagship Emperor range of electronics. This is the culmination of two years of research and design, prototyping and listening.     Our objective was to create a range of electronics that would match our loudspeakers in terms of the very high level of transparency, dynamics and musicality that they offer, and in the case of the power amplifiers, be able to drive any loudspeaker currently on the market.   The Emperor Mono amplifier will deliver 1,800W continuously into 2Ω, so not only will it drive any loudspeaker that we are currently aware of, it will do so without any stress what-so-ever.

Achieving high reliability was paramount

Only high quality components are used and to prolong their life these are operated well within their design limits. The final designs have been subjected to extensive testing to verify their performance and reliability.

The range had to look good as well as sound good

To create a chassis design that offered a luxurious look in line with the range’s high level of sound quality, we commissioned a leading German industrial designer. When you see these products in the flesh, we think you will agree that he has delivered. The high level of fit and finish inspires confidence and by concealing the heatsinks inside the chassis, a refreshingly clean look has been achieved.

A New Reference

Our new Emperor Preamplifier and Emperor Mono Amplifier have received first place in the the leading German audiophile magazine Audio’s Goldenes Ohr (Golden Ear) Awards. This is an exceptional achievement for a new product and more so as there was some very strong competition. Audio’s reviewers were so impressed with these products that they are now being used as their main reference amplifiers.

You can read a translation of a review of these products in Audio magazine here.
